Crafts!

Our only December meeting of the year is normally a crafty meeting and this year was no exception! We actually had 3 craft stations set up. We had a jar mix station, mason jar Christmas tree snow globe and glass plate painting (we had left overs from the last craft meeting).

In years past, we had made cranberry cookies in a jar, but this year we decided to switch it up and make Peppermint Brownies in a jar as found on Skip to my Lou. These were a little messy to make, I think we were all covered in flour & cocoa powder by the time we were done! One of the ladies made these for our annual Christmas party and they were delicious!

Our snow globes were inspired by the ones you see at Anthropologie. Mari has a great tutorial which is basically identical to what we did. These came out really cute and really quick to make.

I can't believe the MOPS year is half over, but we have a lot of great speakers to look forward to in the new year! A sneak peek at what's to come...

Our annual white elephant gift exchange just in time to see the real elephants at the circus! I'll have another post up in the next couple of days with more information on the circus, but in the meantime I have a special discount to offer our readers -  Get $5 off select seats by using code MOM13 (Note: Offer not valid on premium seating, opening night seats, or the Saturday 3:30 p.m. performance.) Make sure you get all the information about our lunch with the circus elephants on January 17th!
